Plan Options

Meal plans are your key to all-access dining on campus. To meet your campus dining needs, we have designed the following meal plans for the 2023-2024 academic year. If you need to purchase a meal plan, or if you would like to make a change to the plan you have already selected, please contact the Housing office. Please note the deadline for Resident students to make changes to their meal plan is Friday of the first full week of school. Meal Plan purchases are non-refundable. Block meal swipes expire at the end of the semester they are purchased. Valor Dollars and block meals purchased in Fall as part of a second meal plan will roll over into the Spring semester. All Valor Dollars will expire at the end of the Spring semester.

All students who live on campus must participate in one of the resident meal plans listed below. We understand that students need flexible meal plans to accommodate their busy schedules, so we offer a few options. In addition to the plans listed below, resident students have the option of purchasing Valor Dollars. Block meal swipes expire at the end of each semester.

Students will choose their meal plan when completing their housing application. Students have until Friday of the first full week of classes to change their meal plan. After this deadline, meal plans may only be upgraded.

Each resident meal plan includes meal swipes for use in Valor Dining Hall, along with a bank of Bonus Bucks which can be spent at any campus dining location: Valor Dining Hall, the Joust or the Barracks. 


Students may use the "Meal Exchange" option to exchange a meal swipe from the Dining Hall for a meal swipe in the Joust up to 5 times per week. Students may not use more than one meal swipe per meal period.

Commuter students may select one of the commuter block meal plans listed below. Commuters also have the option of purchasing Valor Dollars. Commuters may use meal swipes in Valor Dining Hall or in the Joust for Meal Exchange. Meal Plan purchases are non-refundable. Block meal swipes expire at the end of the semester they are purchased. Block meals purchased in Fall as part of a second meal plan will roll over into the Spring semester. All Block meals will expire at the end of the Spring semester.

Bonus Bucks are included with the purchase of a resident meal plan. Bonus Bucks may be used at any of our dining locations on campus. Please note that Bonus Bucks expire at the end of each semester. All Bonus Bucks purchases are tax-free.

Running low on Bonus Bucks? Add Valor Dollars to your meal plan. Contact the Housing office for more information.
Valor Dollars are additional campus funds that can be added to a student’s meal plan. Valor Dollars can be used for purchases of food and beverage items at the Joust, the Barracks and Valor Dining Hall. You may purchase Valor Dollars by contacting the Housing office.
  • Add-On $50 = $55 Valor Dollars
  • Add-On $100 = $110 Valor Dollars
  • Add-On $150 = $165 Valor Dollars


Unused Valor Dollars roll over from the fall semester to the spring semester for those with a spring meal plan. Any unused Valor Dollars will expire at the end of the spring semester.

All Valor Dollar purchases are tax-free.
